Dave Ozanne (tdkwarrior) was killed in Sunday's storm that swept though Brisbane.

I remember hearing it on the news and just thinking to myself, "god, I hope that is not someone I know"

Turns out it was. RIP Dave.

Dave was a really nice young guy, full of enthusiasm for both Photography and Aquariums, two passions that I shared with him.

I'm just at a loss of words right now :upset::upset:

Yeah my condolences to Dave's family and friends. I also put up a thread for him on QLDAF, an aquarium forum he was a member of beside myself and a few other OCAU'rs as well.

Was a very smart and friendly bloke to talk to, rest in peace mate.

    Vary sad news in deed.
I would like to say that he did die while following his passion.
he will be missed both by his family and this community.
Some of the best photo's i have seen here have been taken in these locations many dare not explore.
    may he rest in Peace.

I remember talking a lot with Dave over the last few months about different types of aquarium plants and fish species. Even though I never met him personally, he seemed like a really cool bloke and he was super helpful with advice and so on. I even have two big aquarium plants in my tank at home that he sent me through the post.

Rest In Peace Dave. You were a top bloke and I would've liked to have met you.

    Cheers,
    Sam

I never knew the guy. I have no words to express sorrow, or grief. All I can say is, to those who knew him, loved him, and cared about him: I wish you strength.

    Condolences to the family.
