    Hi Folks,

I brought a Fritzbox 7560 back from Europe, and it has a RJ45 connector for the DSL port. The phoneline I want to connect to it is a standard RJ11. Can it be done somehow or is this modem/router not able to be used for modem functions here?

I think you can just plug it in the middle of the RJ45.

^that should work, my old modem had an rj45 port but came with a little plastic shim spacer thing to just make the hole smaller for rj11

plug in the middle, also some devices that come with RJ45 for telephony will have a shim used to keep an RJ11 secure

Yup, you can plug RJ11 and RJ12 directly into RJ45 no problem.

Seems to be working. My modem reports connection to the DSL network. Now to wait for the Wholesale to get off their ass and connect me. Fun fact - in "developing" eastern europe, internet is connected and operational same-day. Even with cable running involved...

That fun fact is both informative and infuriating....
