Do I need a special power supply for this unit? I picked up a second hand unit at a garage sale today without the supply.

Does the unit have a sticker or moulding to suggest the power requirement and polarity? Could probably just get away with either a specific volts / amps supply or a universal supply set up correctly.

Google says 9V 1.2A centre negative. Anything that matches with the right sized barrel should work.

The amps rating on the power supply is max draw, so that an be a little higher (like a 2000mA supply, for example). But make sure the A are not lower than what you need, and the V matches exactly.

I was reading this thread on that module just last night, interesting read. A centre neg Sega PSU can be used. Theres also info on ram and bios upgrades that can provide better performance plus a gotek install.

There's about 3-4 different types of these across models. Double-check the voltage/amperage in my post above before blindly plugging in.
