i am working away from home for a year, looking at getting a sim from tangerine telecom, 1kgb for 89/99 a month.

they have a couple of modems on their website that they recommend, the b818 and another smaller portable thing.

i already have a tp link tl-mr3420 with a huawei e3372 usb dongle in it - i have used this for kogan mobile internet before and it was fine.

does anyone know if my existing setup will work ok with tangerine or if i need to use their hardware?

Spitz GL-X750 is pretty decent, you can get them from Amazon for ~$200. It runs OpenWRT, so very customizable with a small profile.
The only thing I'd complain about is the short power cable (~1.2m).

I think it does CA with some bands, not all. Any other recommendations?
