I liek the "action" pics... where you've slowed the shutter sleed down and the ferris wheel is blurred, the bumper cars are blurred etc.

Most of the time, but i could get away with handheld with the 10mm at around 1/5th, should be long enough to capture some motion.

note, i REALLY need a tripod bag lol.

Black and white shots are always pretty good....I like the top B&W ones. Polo(?) players shot is pretty good also.

Good to see you didn't get caught in the blackout....heh

31 is great dude. I hoped to get a few of these type shots at the Ekka, but was a little too nervous to do do the whole candid thing, maybe next year :D

Hehe well i just HAD to get the cliche long exposure of the ferris wheel, first time i've been to the show to take photos hehe.

Again, i really wana go back without my tripod since ive done my long exposures and get sum more candids, show is great for candids hehe.

We shoulda organised an OCAU meet!

I probably did a lot more long exposures as i had my cam on my tripod the whole day, grrr stingy manfrotto and not including a bag ahaha.

Why are all the rides moving? I thought there was a terrorist attack and the power was cut?

Seriously though, nice shots. Interesting mix of photo processing as well.

PS. Someone commented on news.com.au story that they thought it was a terrorist attack...

sweet series... shoulda taken some animal pics.. always some innterestinng lighting in those areas.
I think advertiser took my pic.. when i went today with the missus + quan jnr, it started raining heavy.. im not scared of water, neither is mrs quan.. so we didnt run and hide.. was awesome actually. streets emptied, no pushing or shoving.. I can imagine the caption now "heavy rain doesnt dampen record crowd" or "big crowds shine through a sky of clouds" or something equally tacky.
"record show crowd breaks dry spell". we spent the next 30mins drive home comming up with a bunch.
