    Hey guys,

I was just thinking if I installed XP 64bit on my machine and find a peice of software that does not work in 64bit mode I can still run it in a 32bit VM?

For example I install 32bit XP in a VM that is running under 64bit Vista. This should work right?

Same as if I installed win98 in a VM I should technically be able to run old dos games pending if I can find Win98 drivers...

Especially If I'm running 4GB+ Ram I can just give the VM 2GB ram when I want to play a 32bit game that for some reason won't work under 64bit.

Has anyone done this before at all?

    Yes that will work.

But remember in VM's you have limited access to direct hardware (so stuff like OpenGL/Direct3D, High-end Gamer Audio etc).
