I'm having issues with my RX 6800 on systems with AMD CPUs (5800X on B550 and 3700X on a X570) but works on my mate intel system. I tried disabling PCI 4.0 on both AMD systems but still getting driver crashes in COD WarZone and Battlefield 1.

I have tried RMAing the card to PCCG but they were unable to find a fault....

    Anyone have any ideas?

EDIT: Forgot to mention that both systems are running a 750W PSU (SF750 and P750GM) and games don't crash with 6900XT and RTX 3080

It'll probably sound nuts but try disabling your XMP RAM profile in bios, radeon cards are very sensitive to the slightest RAM instability.

Tried disabling XMP which resulted in running at at 2166Mhz. Still crashing.

I tried lowering the rendering resolution in Warzone which helps it run for a bit longer but crashes. Could it be the VRAM?

The fact that it works with your mates intel system.. means there is something not quite right with your setup(s)..

Have you reinstall a fresh copy of windows 10...?
    Memtested both systems extensively.. ?

Else... it may be some bug that will get sorted out 1-2 years later... when AMD finally admits fault..
staring at the USB3 issues that have plaqued AMD systems for the last 12-18 months.. that only recently got acknowledge by AMD..

Adjust fan curve in radeon settings so it will always be at one speed - set the temp range to a figure where there are no ramp ups, disable the zero rpm feature. If this doesn't work change driver. reseat the card, reseat your ram, if this doesn't work, uninstall the game and re-install preferably on different drive or folder at least, if this doesn't work, re-install windows. Put your bios back to original settings for your mobo.

I had a similar issue with my reference 6800 from launch. My symptoms were regular crashes with some memory/driver error or massive jitter then eventual freeze requiring a hard reset.

My fix was to uninstall Radeon adrenaline with the factory reset option, then install the Radeon drivers stand-alone (without the adrenaline software, there’s a way to extract the driver from the software).
Also something about uninstalling the Radeon audio driver from the hdmi output. Can’t exactly remember this part but it’s only necessary if step 1 doesn’t work.

Also make sure you use display driver uninstall (ddu) if you’re shuffling between Radeon and nvidia cards.

Let me know if this works, or need me to elaborate on anything.

    My old post here

So I tried just installing the display driver only without the extra stuff and it still kept crashing. I also tested on another mates pc running a 5600x and it was still crashing like no tmr. I recorded a video of all 3 PCs and packaged it up and sent it to PCCG and RMA the card again. Hopefully this time a refund instead of getting the card sent back. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone.

Good luck. That is pretty convincing evidence for them to process the RMA.

One issue four years ago and zero interaction since then = "pretty shit for a while"

This is the problem with the internet ladies and gentlemen.
