So no one got their 3900X for 599?
I dont feel so bad anymore
did anyone ring the warehouse yesterday ?
I got mine but I suspect I was the only one here. It seems some other people also got them but not necessarily on OCAU.
So FTC have not refunded my money. I received an email from Paypal that the refund did not go through.
Did they give a reason? Like we're trying to fulfill the order...
Nope, nothing, just the below:
A refund for the following transaction from HHJC Trading Pty Ltd wasn't processed successfully.
If you've been expecting this refund, please contact HHJC Trading Pty Ltd to issue the refund again.
Sender's name: HHJC Trading Pty Ltd
Sender's email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Oh so it wasn't a dispute... just asking FTC for refund?
Maybe start a dispute instead. (non delivery)
Can you do a charge back with a credit card if you use paypal as the middle man?
It was a dispute! FTC then responded with a refund. They then cancelled the refund. The next level of escalation is to ask eBay to step in.
I have no idea what this charge back business is.
I have done that before. Paypal were being difficult so I took it out of their hands.
You call your CC people (bank, AMEX, whoever) and tell them you used the card to pay for a transaction and haven't received the goods. They will guide you through the process from there.
Thanks chook. I might just give that a crack.
Website landing page for FTC.
yep. time to claim on that CC
Thanks for that dude.
Unforseen issue with eBay my arse. More like a forseen issue with them. The negative feedback goes back over a year.

Yes unfortunately a credit card chargeback is the only approach that will give you any kind of control over the situation.
All that website shit is just part of the scam. As in "don't come after us! Don't worry! It's all good! Just wait a little longer before doing anything!".
Wait more than a month or two, and your window to do a credit card chargeback will close, and then you will be entirely at the mercy of the scam and the paypal fuckaround.
NOTE that doing a chargeback may fuck up your ebay/paypal accounts - I don't know - so do your research on that first.
Yes, do the chargeback ASAP. Have all of the evidence that you have made reasonable attempts to communicate and are not just being a dick. All the normal things we do every day as adults.
While it is anecdotal, at best, I had no problem as a result of the charge back. I actually went through the eBay process first, then the PayPal process and they were just useless. It felt very much like a process driven call centre interaction. When I contacted AMEX and sent them the same documentation the problem went away within 48 hours and I have had no consequences with respect to my accounts (or otherwise) to my knowledge.
Having said that, I had also heard that you could have problems with the accounts as a result of charge back.
Thanks guys, will call my bank today.
Doh, same issues..
Orders 2080 Super MSI trio card.. have Tx invoice.. apparently sent.. but no tracking number.. Meant to have arrive two days ago.. but nothing..
the first card I ordered a 6 weeks ago 2070Super Gigabyte.. arrived, with some issues.. but they were quick to resolve it.. (sent out another card via express).. with a return label for the wrong card..
I might check the pickup point first.. given.. some cards were sent out.. (according ebay feedback)..
Plus australia post.. is super super slow at the moment...
A member sent out an item on the 20/1/2020.. and it is meant to arrive today...
OK, hopefully this is the last we hear about this.

Glad that looks to be ending well.
Trying to decide if I am lucky or unlucky having actually received it. If anything foes wrong it might be difficult to get warranty. I suspect in a worst case scenario that AMD would look after me anyway.
