Yeah i know i did that before, i bought a X570-F but iam thinking on returning for a full refund and grabbing a B450 more i read bout the amd board x570 is actually a waste
Got any friends with a chip they could loan you? I had to do that for my 2200g when it first came out. The 2/3xxx series should boot just fine, offer to upgrage their thermal paste I'm sure they won't mind.
Interesting meta-review analysis of the new CPUs: https://www.reddit.com/r/hardware/comments/gn3b2o/amd_ryzen_3_3100_3300x_meta_review_23_launch/
Didn't realize they actually launched, screw it. Gonna try and get a good price on the 2600 and give it a go!
Looking at a new build in the next couple of months and was going the 3900x. But wondering why the price difference between the 3900x and 3950x is so much compared to 3800x to 3900x? There's 4 extra cores between each one but is it also one is ryzen 7 and the others 9?
uncle laz use case? 3600x if you play games, 3700x if you pretend to do video encoding or play with hi-res digital photos, play with code etc. The 3700x has no benefit in gaming really, it might do come the new consoles that are optimized for 8 cores, but we'll have to see. 3800x not worth buying, slightly higher clocked 3700x basically can mostly be hit with a slight overclock. The 3900x and 3950x are purely in the realm of hardcore creator, if you do YouTube for a living, or are a professional of some sort where time is $$$ then you would make use of the power. Otherwise it's just e-peen! If you want one get one but yeh that's my opinion
AMD are apparently cutting the price on their 3900X: https://www.techpowerup.com/267430/...-410-threatening-both-i9-10900k-and-i7-10700k I wanted more cores.. I dunno if I want that many more cores.. but I kinda doooo......
Not sure if I am reading your words right, but just in case... there are no arch differences between the Ryzen 7 cores and the Ryzen 9 cores. The 9's may be binned higher than the 7's, but mainly its just a marketing thing.
