Its not much, but scrub through to the 7min mark for BF5 + OBS
While the 3900x gaming results aren't on par with the 9900k, I don't just game like I did years ago, so that's no big deal (Waiting for Cyberpunk and The Outer Worlds, that's about it).
Also by the time Intel drop something to beat it, I know AMD will release something that will match it and I don't need to by a whole new setup, just the CPU...
AMD have kept their promise since the release of Ryzen to use the same socket..
you will regret going to amd after having premium intel setups if this is your only pc in one word -- dont
just dont do it you will 100% regret it
there are a few cheap parts people are dumping in the FS section 8700k @ $300 res is a nice price --- so so much better than any of these chips from amd if you are gaming.
Same deal here. Its not that far off that its a worry, and its also so far ahead in the other things.
Those are some pretty big claims. Have you got some quantitative evidence to support it? Peer reviewed for preference.
While I agree, Cyberpunk 2077 is also the next big thing I am waiting for and right now my i7 3820 with the 1080Ti doesn't seem stretched at all for my 4K gaming so I am happy to wait until closer to release and then buy in.
there are pleanty of reviews that all conclude that this amd chip is still rubbish for gaming -- so there is that
I haven't seen any that make these claims. Could you link some please?
being behind intel in EVERY gaming test by up to 25% clearly makes it rubbish vs the intel counterpart
Great, then it shouldn't be too difficult to provide some links.
look up there are 4 reviews on this page alone and several more on the pages back all show this chip is a long long long way behind in gaming tests
here is a slide from one of them
I'm not trying to stir, but watch some of those posted videos, a few titles there's a good 25% difference trailing behind the 9900k.
Ahh I was waiting the GN video. They are usually a good 40mins long and go into more detail.
Hardware unboxed is my other go to. But really there wasn't any multi task stuff from memory.
I fail to see how one game substantiate your assertion of AMD
Some evidence of Intel being ahead of AMD in EVERY game by up to 25% would be a preference to substantiate the claim.
I don't think you are but CJ's assertion is EVERY game (his capitalisation) which is a very bold statement.
Sure, there are a few. There are others that are very close.
That doesn't make this statement even close to true though.
I'll be damned. I had this direct quote within my post, but it posted without it.
Yeh tbh I was expecting the benchmarks to be a lot tighter in pure gaming as in for them to trade blows. 9900k is still the go too if gaming is the #1 priority. But you do sacrifice in a lot more areas than its worth if you need it for work.
That said at 1440p results there is basically nothing in it. With the 9900k pulling single digit % wins at best.
If you are seeing 150fps on AMD you are absolutely not going to tell the difference that and say 170fps on Intel. Anything over 120fps you are simply looking at numbers not the gameplay experience (In my opinion)
show me one slide where the amd chip is infront I said UP TO 25 % difference -- and there are games where this is the casee
but I do believe amd has not actually beat intel in any of the gaming tests I've seen where they are not gpu limited (i.e. 1080p)
care to show me any slide where amd are infront @ 1080p in any game -- teh simple fact is you cant as they are rubbish for gaming still
That isn't how it works. You made the claim so you need to substantiate it.
you confusing navi forryzen
I ahve and I cant shw you something that does not exist as all reviews show amd is behind intel in gaming up to 25%
