    Hi OCAU,

This will be a place for owners of Ryzen 5 5600X CPUs to come for advice and guidance overclocking their CPUs, including tips and tricks, and a compilation of OCAU users' individual results.

Current 'members' of the 5600X gang :) :
    1. OCMunkee
    2. M1ck1
    3. PULS8R
    4. shane41
    5. micsway123

To be added to the list, please let me know the following (along with any useful comments/notes):
    - OCAU username
    - CPU model (i.e 5600X obviously) & CCD layout (i.e. single CCD, or dual CCD with 1 disabled)
    - Motherboard model & BIOS version
    - Memory SKU, MCLK/UCLK/FCLK settings
    - Highest overclock PBO, All-core...
    - Cooling (low profile air, enthusiast air, AIO water, custom water, or extreme e.g. sub-ambient / phase change / LN2 /etc)
    - Bench results (3DMark CPU profile max threads & 1 thread? -- suggestions here?)
    - UEFI settings (Voltages/PBO settings/RAM timings/etc -- suggestions here?)
    - CPU power draw / PPT from HWInfo64 at idle/load (idle = windows desktop, load = Prime95 small FFTs?)
    - Temperature idle/load (idle = windows desktop, load = Prime95 small FFTs?)
    - Relevant screenshots

    For example:

    OCMunkee (Nathan) - 5600X (single-CCD)
    - Highest all-core OC:
4700MHz @ 1.45v (but with stability issues, 4675@1.45v seems solid)
    - Highest PBO: +175MHz w/ per-core curve optimiser, PPT 130W / TDC 210A / EDC 240A, auto core voltage with Level 2 LLC
    - Motherboard: ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming ITX/ax (BIOS v2.12)
    - Memory: 2x16GB G.Skill F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC (Hynix CJR) - 3933@1.45V, FCLK/UCLK=1966 (note: at 3933 I was getting errors with TM5, but at 3866 there are no memory errors but WHEA errors persist)
    - Timings: tCL 16, tRCD 19, tRP 21, tRAS 41, tRC 64, tRFP 500 (254.25ns)
    - Cooling: Air (Noctua L9A-AM4), but moving to 120mm AIO (Corsair H60)
    - Power draw idle/load: ~30W / ~130W
    - Temperature idle/load: ~32C / ~78C
    - 3DMark CPU Profile Max/16/8/4/2/1: 6222/6122/5588/3589/1851/929

    1. Some users report issues with inability to POST when 'Infinity Fabric Clock' (FCLK) is at 3800MHz or 4000MHz, but no problems above/below at "odd" steps (i.e. 3733/3866/etc are fine) [Source: TBD, add this]

    2. Some users have noted improvements in stability with lowering voltages on CLDO VDDP, VDDG CCD and VDDG IOD when these are set too high. Most users don't need higher than 1V on VDDG CCD/IOD and even less on CLDO VDDP. YMMV. [Source: TBD, add this]

Awesome thread, great to be a apart of it haha

Here's me, I just got my 5600x and new ram so heaps of reading of guides and testing happening.

Goddamn, 1.265V at 4700MHz? My CPU needs more like 1.45v to do even 4650MHz

Do boost clocks go above those clocks or are those under load?

micsway123 put me onto his settings and I thought I'd give it a go, not sure how stable overall for 24/7 use but it runs cb20 and cb23 pretty well...

If you mean all core clocks, then no, the cpu won't boost past those settings, but will try to run each core at that speed under load.

Tinkering a bit now with 4.8Ghz all core, not stable at 1.35v but will bench.

TimeSpy CPU score increased dramatically. Good increase in CB20 too.

When I was doing 1.45v for 46xxMHz it was without boost just static all-core oC

So OC's disable the boost clock feature? Not seeing a lot of headroom as I've not fiddled with mine at all and 4,650 simultaneously on all cores is what I'm seeing on mine.

I think so, to my knowledge you disable boost automatically by manually setting clock multiplier / voltage.

If you want boost to go higher, use PBO and curve optimiser.

Try CTR 2.1 rc5 and see what you get from that. It’s supposed to have multiple profiles and fast switching dependent on demand on CPU/threads with lower volts than PBO.

OCMunkee I’ve updated my post to be 4.75 stable at 1.35v. Not suitable for 24/7 that cause my temps tick +90c in CB.

FYI, AMD have said these are safe to run at 95C. Obviously wouldn’t be at that level of load 24/7 but not an issue if it’s brief and occasional

true, granted that temp was only in CB23 and with my fans were at 100%, worried what might happen if I fire up prime95

would it be cheating if is disable 2 cores on my 5800X and join the party in here? :p

anyones 5600x hitting 2000 IF? or there no benefit? or just errors @ 4000?

Tempted to get a 5600x to replace the 3600 in my server, and do some clocking, since i have the impact and strix, with both happily doing 2000 IF :D

Some (including mine) have issues with 1900 & 2000MHz FCLK but are ok at "odd" steps. You can totally join in if you want, see what you get with 6 cores! :D
