5600x ordered. I couldn't see any 5000 series on scorptec's site, do you need to be signed in or something? Shopping express didn't seem to put them up at 1am despite the bloody banner saying they would.

We get it, you're team Blue. If you think clutching at straws over a single reviewers results compared to the majority of reviews that just dropped helps you sleep at night, by all means.

You could at least troll with some humour, it's just sad.

"For overclocking I set a fixed voltage of 1.4 V and started increasing clocks, while checking stability at the same time. This is extremely easy thanks to the AMD Ryzen Master software, which has come a long way and is now top notch.

My highest all-core maximum stable overclock using an air cooler was 4.65 GHz, but with above 1.4 V. 4.7 GHz just wasn't possible, not even with excessive voltage, so I settled for 4.6 GHz @ 1.4 V.

Using a 240 mm AIO, I still couldn't get 4.7 GHz fully stable. Increasing voltage to 1.5 V just increased power and heat."

    RIP overclocking

Ordered 5900x @ PCCG with confirmation email at 1:02am
Realised I didn't have thermal paste, placed another order @ 1:37am - +1230 on the order number :wired:

I reckon PCCG might have learnt a thing or two from the RTX3000 series fiasco...

if anyone right now bought an Intel Gen 10 board and CPU new, then either fanboy, or completely retarded.

    RIP intel

If you're not 12 and a fanboi then you should understand it's been a while since AMD have been on a roll like this. It may be hyped but it's a big deal to improve on an already competitive product. Only thing that annoys me is the 5800 should be cheaper.

Hardware Unboxed said in their video that with their 5950X they hit an all core OC 4.7 GHz @ 1.375v and gained 20% multi-thread CB20 score (12155 points) which is 20% gain over stock (10157 points)
Single core score dropped from 641 points to 608 points though which is 5%, this is because at stock it clocks as high as 5 GHz.

Or you'd be pretty sore about what you'd paid ~6 months ago...

Cross branded, non-generational jumps are always going to have the smallest return on investment. Coming from 3900x to 10900k would be tough to justify - remembering its CPU and motherboard need to be purchased - so going from 10900k to zen 3 should be tough.. unless you wanted PCIe 4.0 as well :)

Techpowerup using 2080Ti for their CPu reviews, I feel clickbaited so hard .. because their reviews are really detailed usually.
