If it was actually possible to get one anywhere else this is the point in time you would tell them to diaf and give the money to another company. As it is you are probably better off just sticking with them because you at least have a place in the queue. Still a dog act on their behalf because there is no excuse for not having the database work properly besides incompetence.

 

MF'ers.. So they were charging people $1713 to pre order, now they have slashed nearly $500 to get to RRP, and they still don't have stock..

Given there are 5950x physically in stock would seem to be worth considering one of those. I can see this 5900x being a bit of an issue. If AMD/stores has to choose between filling 5950x orders and 5900x orders, which do you think they will choose?

Upselling to the 5950x is easy:

• You get the most powerful desktop processor in the world
• You will be able to burn 24 core zen 2 Threadripper and 28 Core intel CPU's in Vray/enocoding/compression benchmarks.
• You get 33% more cores than the 5900x
• You get higher boost, over 5 Ghz.
• You have more overclocking headroom if you can cool the sucker..
• Its available today..
• It only costs money, and its only ~$6 more per core than the 5900x.

Yeah i was looking to get a 5900X as well even though it would have been a reduction in cores for me, but didn't want to risk having to wait weeks for stock to become available.
Looks like the Umart stock went in less than a hour.
Mine is showing dispatched already!

 

They know me. They had to send out 160 AMD Athlon stickers when I didn't get mine in my CPU box. I thought it was 4 stickers, but it was 4 sheets of stickers..

5th Element always makes friends. Its literally what I say when I buy anything with my Credit card..

I seen the 5950X is gone but I've been refreshing the 5900X page for 2 hours, still not in stock yet . No way I missed it unless it sold out in 10 seconds and I didn't get a stock email thing.

 

That has the makings of a scene from a movie of questionable content to it .

Lucky.. the lot of you. PCCG are giving me donuts. Submitted an enquiry on the account page and I got 3 copies of their COVID-19 delays email. Tried Twitter too but no reply, either today or yesterday. Frustrating!!

Sitting at home with a broken hand, I’m running out of things to do. Netflix has got a good workout over the last 2 weeks..

I do understand exactly that every time someone posts that they have theirs, everyone who is waiting is getting that bit more upset.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is now becoming an international thing. These things are going to be hotter than baby formula.
We are talking about the $1300 CPU selling out in minutes here.

AMD is going to need a bigger boat to ship CPU's to australia..
