Yeah good point. I agree, the 19's probably not B-Die. Also agree with the Micron E-Dies, solid stuff at a decent price. The 3200's clock really well. I don't think I've seen Ballistix Sport LT for awhile though, not sure they still sell them. They were the sticks with the E-Die, and they only officially came in 3200 *I think* but just change the frequency to 3600, no other changes at all, and they ate it for lunch.

Not sure what chips are in the Ballistix Elite but I don't think they are E-Die. Still pretty good value though.

    See no problem with scalping.....

Don't like the price don't pay the price.

Like these CPUS or a different tangent GPUs are gonna make your life any better:lol:

Really don't get the hate for scalpers....

You need something you pay the market price or you don't...

They can do what they want, just a bit shitty, but then again,l thats MSY, always have always will be a 3rd rate company.

CPL SCORPTEC PCCG PLE UMART even Centrecom -- all at MSRP?

but MSY more? no wonder why their reputation is shit <insert shitty workers who can barely speak english or know anything about computers rant here>

Just another reason to never buy from these idiots. Rather not have then support MSY idiots. Been that was for YEARS, not just because of the scalping.

A very shit service. No one in the right mind can honestly say they prefer to deal with MSY over Scorptec and PLE (in melbourne in store anyway) (or any other major retailer) i dont buy much online, prefer to pickup.

Every MSY in melb i have been too were shitty run down setups, most of the time with staff who were most unknowledgeable, and barely able to understand the question i ask them.

You are right they do provide a service. But cant say its an overly good service. regardless of price. Even it it was $10-$20 cheaper still wouldnt shop at MSY.

Gamers Nexus does a great round up of high air flow cases twice a year - this is their one from 4 months ago and I expect he'll do one closer to xmas. Oh and today he looked at the new Fractal meshify (which he gave a solid "meh") and will look at the XL version tmmrw/later today.

PBO is the way to go.
But the 5950x needs decent cooling.

Failed 5950x build. Boost problems, thermal problems with GPU's. Apparently a single 240mm rad is too much for a 5950 and a 3090.

Well um.. Duh! You're talking 450w minimum (350w GPU, 100w CPU) for that set up with everything loaded. A single 240mm rad can do maybe 300w if your really lucky and have damn good fans .

Edit, the AIO cards for the 3090 I've seen all have 360mm rads so... Yeah.

Just didn't use powerful enough fans nothing a few 220CFM deltas wouldn't fix.

My man!! You’ve just saved me a tonne of money. I was going to pull the trigger on some 4000 sticks but clearly it won’t affect my gaming performance. I’ll stick with my 3000 HyperX Predators (4x4gb) for a bit, try overclocking them to 3200.. think that’ll be ok for my 5600x?

Just try to keep the timings tight and keep the FLCK and speed in a 1:1 and any overclock should be good .

Ryzen has always preferred tight timings over balls to the walls sloppy speed.

Anyone know the expected delay times for these chips? is it going to be as bad as the 3080? (I ordered a 5900x two days ago, no idea when i should be expecting it, no ETA)

I emailed PCCG yesterday asking how long it'd be if I ordered a 5900X yesterday, if it'd be a couple of weeks or over a month and they said they had no idea. Emailed Scorptec as well but haven't heard back yet. Waiting to hear back from Scorptec before I decide who I'm ordering from atm.

Expect a massive delay with the 5900X though, it's been by far the most ordered world wide and because it needs 2 of the core dies pretty highly binned... Yeah we're going to have shortages.
