The difference is miniscule unless planning to OC.

Where to order from, PCCG or Scorptec, either way I'll be waiting probably a month or more, price is basically the same.

yeah Umart removed the 15/11 ETA on theirs too, meaning their supplier has provided no ETA

Heh. You know what i meant :p

16-19-19-39 vs 16-16-16-38 is very miniscule even in benches.

    5900x queue numbers

    Scorptec - 156
    Computeralliance - 113

A retailer said they're seeing stock levels like this for the 5900x:
    Received 20x 5900x in batch 1
Batch 2 is the end of next week with an expected 50x CPUs
Batch 3 start of December with 50-100x predicted CPUS

For reference, this retailer received 1500x 5600x, 360x 5800x and 20 5950x in their first batches

Also, SKU's are coming in individually to distys. So if one retailer gets updated stock of a SKU, all others should get that same SKU replenished within a few days.

Well PCCG were the only retailer to say they received thousands of CPU stock for this launch ;). Umart apparently only got 80 5950X according to Reddit, probably the same for 5900X seeing they sold out so quickly.

Scorptecs numbers aren't to bad really, betting PCCG had closer to 200 just going by social media and the amount of people talking about orders online.

ordered a 5800X and X570 ITX Strix from Centrecom.

Looks like my 5900x and 5950x orders are going to take a while... lets play with the 8 core for now. just couldnt bring my self to move from R7 8c/16t too R5 6c/12t,

I JUST COULDNT DO IT :( (regardless of the 5600x beating the 3700x in every game!)

Set out this morning to get a 5600x and B550 ITX STRIX = $813.
Ended up with 5800x and X570 ITX STRIX = $1139

No, got my chip from Umart. It is a 5600X though and I just realised my post might have read like it is a 5900X sorry.

Yes but it's all about what they CAN be run at rather than what they are rated for. the B-dies will run much tighter timings if you wanted to.

Gskill 3600 14-15-15-35 are tempting, or the 4000 16-19-19-39 for the 2x16 kits...

Guess it depends what IF Zen 3 can hit

Coming from an Intel CPU, What's the huge interest in RAM when it comes to AMD? do you actually see significant real world differences with better ram?

Traditionally AMD really likes tight memory timings all the way back to the Socket A Athlon XP days.

    https://www.gskill.com/product/165/...DDR4-3600MHz-CL14-15-15-35-1.45V64GB-(4x16GB)

Price is two kidneys and a spleen but worth it for no RGB garbage.

Guess everyone else could be roughly the same.

Edit, according to a Reddit user about PCCG 5900X:
