I think they got an order of 72 yesterday, was their first stop of these. I was lucky enough to be one of the 72. No idea when they get their next lot as they haven't said boo since launch.

I reckon there might be over 1000 waiting for 5900x.

No doubt about it, the 5900x is the most desired. Its great value. The 5950x isn't ~40% faster than the 5900x, you do pay a small premium for the full 16 cores and top of the line.
You can pretty much buy 5600x and 5800x from anywhere, there is on occasion 5950x available, but the 5900x are pretty elusive.

If AMD wants to sell a lot more 5950x, make Asus dynamic overclocking a feature in the next bios and the 5950x will become very, very desirable. There is plenty of untapped multicore performance lurking there, if you have the cooling. Because the 5950x uses the same or less power than the 5900x its artificially limited to being ~10-15% faster than than the 5900x. If you could lift multicore to just 3.7 or 3.8, you would get another 15-20% while still keeping your 4.9Ghz boost..

If you look back a page at hellaflush's post:

Maybe >1000 in all of Aus but no way in hell at one shop, that would be a disaster waiting to happen.

I'm guessing PCCG also has more than Scorptecs numbers but not by much. Umart probably had <100 chips.

Edit, when I called Scorptec earlier about stock levels they said they couldn't give an eta on new orders but call back early next Monday... Looks like there probably expecting a big order next week just like Mwave.

5800X/X570 STRIX ITX confirmed from Centrecom. will pickup in sunshine tomorrow.

cant wait for the absolutely insane performance increase from the 3700x to 5800x. (not that big..haha)

Will do some Cinebench and 3dmark scores with 3700x/3080, and then with the 5800x/3080 to show my performance increase. with bloated windows unsure how much it will actually be. hah

From Scorptec re: Dark Hero availability :wired:

    Hi,
The product manager has indicated that we don't currently have a definitive ETA.
However, he expects that it may be around 2 months.
    Regards,
    David

The 5600X and 5800X are fairly easy to find in stock around the place. The 5900X and 5950X are rare as rocking horse poop right now and that is what a lot of people are chasing.

Online Computer is also overstating the price of the 5600X and then exaggerating the discount.
