Intel will retake the gaming lead, no doubt about it but they'll sacrifice everything to do it. Those will probably be hot, power hungry, expensive chips.

2133 is a long way from 3600 or even 3200.
you'd leave a lot of performance on the table by not upgrading your ram

grab some cheap 3200 crucial ballistic sport lt sticks and be happy

    Lucky you!

I ordered my 5900X the second it went live on Scorptec. Their ETA was 12/11 but now it's been pushed back

I'm on the fence about redoing my loop or just getting a big ass aio and calling it a day.
Definitely ditching the hard line if I do redo it for the 5950x though. Way too much hassle to swap shit out.

I'm in deep now, so may as well keep digging and get a 6900xt in a month or so and pull it all apart again. hah

I too am ditching the hard. I'ts nice, I'll probably still use it for some builds, but not my main. I like the freedom to swap stuff easily. Especially CPU's

Well the BIOS versions available for my Asus ROG Strix X570-I Gaming motherboard that support my 5950X are not great. I’m a day one beta tester now it seems. First chiplet regularly boosts over 5GHz low load but the second chiplet doesn’t go over 4.7GHz ever and with an all core benchmark like CB20 none of the cores go over 3.7GHz. Some only go as high as 3.6GHz. Ten minutes of CB20 and max CPU temp is only 67 degrees, something clearly isn’t right. Core voltages during this are under 1.1v. It’s only under a 280mm AIO and ambient room temp is probably mid 20s.

None of the motherboard temp readings ever change, just sit at a random number give or take few degrees between min and max. CPU temp max hits 90 degrees just web browsing, or so HWiNFO64 says but both chiplets individually never have a max over 76 degrees.

I’ve tried both AGESA 1.1.0.0 BIOS updates, the first one is patch B, the latest being marked a beta patch C. Same results with both versions.

I found other people with the same board and CPU having the same problems, namely Optimum Tech on YouTube. I guess I just have to wait for the BIOS to mature.

Run ryzen master and see if it's sitting on the PPT or another power limit. Adjust accordingly with Pbo and see what you get while monitoring thermals and frequency.

It looks like 5050Mhz is the upper ceiling on these CPUs and a decent AiO will get you there. Not sure custom water is worth it.

Yep they all immediately red line. I'll play with PBO, all core and per CCX today.

God damn so looking at peoples order numbers from PCCG that have been fulfilled, my 5900X order is like 8000 later :wired: :upset:.

Any one got numbers of PCCG actual 5900X orders? Seems like they had the most of any store... I'll email them next week after they get more stock and see if I can find out where in the queue I am.

    Hello fellow memebers...
Thinking of going a 5900x or 5950x matched with a ROG Strix X570-E.

Question is, is my ram ok?
    GSkill 3600 16-16-16-36
    2x8GB

    Thanks
