AMD stuff in general is stupid at the moment to be honest. In short supply and charging accordingly.

High capacity ssds and hdds look to be next as miners are onto those...

Miners are basically the new speed camera operators. You don’t want to admit you are one at parties.

Anyone have a TLDR version of CPU / Memory overclocking?

I'm still rocking my Day1 PBO settings, without curve optimisation etc.

Set ram to 3600Mhz. Tightest timings you can.

Done. PBO will handle the rest

just got some shiney new royals for my 5950X system

my 5800x has been rocking 2000 IF since day one, now to see if the 5950x will handle it.

havnt read back to see if any others having success with ram @ 4000+

my 5800x is currently running 4266 c19 @ 4000 c16-16-16, i can get it too boot IF 2133 and rams at 4266 c19 but cant quite get it stable.

loving the x570 ITX STRIX and IMPACT, still hating the X570 master, nothing but issues from my mates 5900x systems. eww

    I'm running 3800/1900 15-15-15-35 with my G-Skill 2x6gb 3600c14 kit.

Haven't tried 4000/2000 yet but I don't see any issues other maybe a bit loser timings.

Are you sure you're running CL15?

It's set in bios, checking in CPU-Z it's 16-15-15-35, GDM is forcing it to CL16 I think.

    Still fine for my needs.

I was going to say, Ryzen doesn't like odd number CL. Try CL14.

Well you can set odd CL but you need to disable Gear Down Mode which may lower your ability to clock RAM.
