quick searching says the vega iGPU on the 5700g should be fine for WoW. the 8 cores will be decent for productivity tasks also.
otherwise if you have a GPU already or one in mind go the other models. they have faster IPC, more onboard cache, overall better chips.

i5 12400 over both of those, if only gaming. Put money towards GPU.

    5700X down to $386.10 at Shopping Express - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/696893

For that price it's a no brainer for anyone on an older AM4 chip - it's a solid CPU. Stays nice and cool for me, and reaches 4.7ghz with PBO enabled and is running like a dream.

I currently have a 5600X on a B550 motherboard and am wondering if I can transplant a 5800X3D chip straight into it without any problems or do I need a different motherboard chipset?

Dropped the 5800X3D in today, considering this is 3440x1440 that's a decent uplift....

I run 3440x1440 144hz so I like to be as close (or over) as much as possible.

That discussion alone is still raging but regardless it's still an extremely popular game and there's alot of players, very few people benchmark it and I do play a bit (raids and such) so I figured I'd grab some before and after numbers :D

Can you test with Fortnite by any chance?

Edit: probs pointless as it doesn't validate my exact use case.. Nvm :p I want to validate 3080ti/5800x at 1440p 240hz

Haha, I'd have to download it since it's not really my type of game.

Not even sure how you'd benchmark it tbh, Is there a canned one or needs player input?
