    That difference is HUGE!!!

Once you're done with that 5800X3D you just give me a PM :p
    I notice you got a win...now you're hooked ;)

I feel like that CPU is my way to hit 1440p 240hz :O Although suprised they only used medium settings, would have like an ultra settings test too.

Thoughts on a 5800x3d for WoW? The Starcraft 2 results look very promising.
    Using a 6800xt @ 3840*1600 and 3700x

I figure that WoW is a CPU bottlenecked game in the situations that matter.

The 5900x is currently priced well too though.
Wish the SC2 tests compared the 5800x3d to the 5900x as well.

I agree, I didn't check the 5900X before but I ran Crysis for the fun of it.

This is 1080p which the results are pretty much exactly what I get at 1440 UW as well

    Mmm cheers for linking that.

Shame it doesn't do a comparison using an AMD gpu with SAM on vs Alder Lake with amd gpu.

When I saw a previous review of nvidia vs amd for WoW, it showed WoW benefited strongly from having SAM on, which makes a lot of sense given WoW's engine.

Either way, you should upgrade your OS first.

    But why (for personal use)????

If you don't want telemetry and don't mind poor game support, then why not use linux?

I love(d) windows 7, but it's time has passed unfortunately, the digital age isn't nice to your personal preferences
