If you clicked on this thread and thought wow that's sexy.. it's just your brain being honest.
cos these new monitors have 1000R Curvature(Bye Beyonce & Kardashian), yes it's all about that Curves.

Not sure if it was intensional, but 27" 1440p 240Hz monitor with 1000R Curvature means G7 could be the world's first 27" and also first 1440p monitor to get used by professional gamers(instead of 23.8"-24.5" TN 1080p) because 1000R will reduce the width of the monitor noticeably.

Specs are awesome on both G7(27" & 32" 16:9 QHD) and G9(49" SUW 32:9 DQHD), they all have Quantum Dot VA panel(QLED) with 125+% sRGB for amazing colors, with improved 240Hz Refresh Rate and 1ms Response Time, supports both G-Sync and FreeSync, as well as HDR1000(on G9) and HDR600(on G7). :leet:

The problem is Curved (and especially that much curved) is a turd for anything else. Trying to do an excel spread sheet or edit movies is horrible on even slightly curved screens in my opinion

I honestly still see curved as being a bit of a gimmick with no actual real world use. I don't feel like you're "immersed" like people claim

I haven't noticed any issue with excel or video editing on curved screen(1800R), and personally I prefer curved over flat especially on UW/SUW.

Obviously I've never used 1000R curved panels, but I think they should be fine.. cos I don't think Samsung's gonna sell their entire 2020 high-end Gaming QLED lineups with 1000R curvature without proper testing or good reason.
As I mentioned 1000R curvature might allow professional gamers to use 27" 1440p(over 24" 1080p) for the first time & and G9 model might be best monitor for less demanding games like Diablo 4, CSGO, GTA5 or CoD MW(if you also get 3080Ti).

G7 27" 1440p HDR600, 240hz, VA sounds good.. apart from the stupid OTT curve.

    Hopefully has a high gamut.

1440p wont be replacing 1080p any time soon in competitive scene, the pro's want the highest FPS possible too.

But for games like CSGO(never played it), even 2080Ti is fast enough to get 300+fps @ 1440p, no?

    Translator: (He's The Garbage Recycler..)
    Samsung: Hello Ruslan.
Kogan: I want cheapest SUW DQHD panels!
Samsung: hmm we have some leftovers from 2019 model CRG9($2500 RRP) without the Quantum Dot.
Samsung: Panel can overclock to 165Hz, but these prototype panels have slow response time(~24ms) and low brightness(~200cd/m2)..
    Kogan: Perfect, that sounds awesome!
Samsung: We can do 100K units for only $150 each.

Looks amazing. Sadly 1440p at 32" is too low of a resolution, and 27" is too small of a monitor :upset:

Apprantly there are some 32" 4k 144hz monitors coming this year which should be nice
