Its what he does about everything.

The only difference is he won't actually buy it. I don't think he has any money, yet visits thread with expensive hardware acting like he will buy it.

Philips have a 49inch 5120X1440 out now and its pretty darn good. The problem with that res is that most games will struggle to run at 100hz on a 2080ti

I find Sli being supported less and less. But it comes down to what games you play

Ugh, terrible pixel density...still awaiting perfect monitor for people who don’t sit 3 meters from desk

I'm interested in it, and being honest, I'd be fine with just using resolution scaling to achieve playable FPS.

Is there any other way of using an ultrawide? My current 34" I have back about 1 - 1 1/2m from where I sit. Although I'm more comfortable reading text from further away than most people.

    I sit 1m from the Philips 49 and it’s perfect. Can’t go back to 21:9 or 16:9.
The Philips also runs at 75hz max and supports nvidia adaptive sync. 75hz is pretty good (though obviously not as good as 120). A point to note is that at 75hz it’s not totally maxed out the 2080ti so it doesn’t get as loud or hot in most games

Would be about he same as a 27 X 2560X1440. Not bad really. Sure 4K is better but it will be a while until we get a 49" 7680x2160 monitor with a good refresh rate.

What? Isn't that about the same as the Dell U2713H 1440p in your sig?

Apologies - for some reason I looked at the C49HG90 which is listed as 3840x1080, which rates as 'terrible'
The CRG9 at 5120x1440 actually rates as decent and now has me intrigued...

That said, my dell is ancient. When I get a new monitor I was hoping for an increase in size and in pixel density...not only in size. What I was waiting for was 32-34inch, not ultrawide, 4k HDR (preferably not gimped HDR...) with Gsync/freesync. However, this is the first ultrawide that has my attention. Am now pleasantly surprised and awaiting further details...
