SOME games i can count on one hand ive tried cap at 1080p 60hz

80% of games work fine, the last 15% can with a workaround.
All the Unity, Frostbite, Unreal engine 4 games are fine.
Many Capcom or Blizzard games. Are locked to 21.9 or less. Someone always has a workaround. Though.
Regarding 1080ti frames. Just look at all the 1080TI reviews at 4k, and add like 20% more FPS to get an estimate.
HDR always seems to look worse for me. All grey and dark.
Even working properly I see little difference.
I've tested with 2 diff monitors and with my new series 7 2019 QLED TV.
    I must be missing something...

hmm according to some chick from gizmodo, CRG9 is 240Hz(wtf?) not 120Hz.. (n also supports G-sync.. lol)
https://www.gizmodo.com.au/2019/08/samsung-49-inch-crg9-monitor-price-australia/ (and this is why girls shouldn't do hardware reviews, bet she can't even cook instant noodle)

I'm surprised that she didn't also write 0.1ms response time..

At the start I thought Samsung made new 49" 240Hz version(cos I know Samsung released new 27" CRG5 240Hz not long ago, but it's not QLED n only 1080p) but the model no on 49" says CRG9.. lol

    Curve looks reasonably pronounced? \
Would I be right to assume this wouldn't really be a good monitoring for productivity stuff like photo and vide editing and so on....?

Not that I can afford it now but one day perhaps.

Personally I think A non curved 4k is sooo much better for productivity. The amount of screen realestate you get at 4k makes editing awesome.

Is there a flat panel equivalent? Is it cheaper?

If you don't have a good eyesight and want cheaper model, then I'd go for 49" Samsung CHG90(~$1450) or J890(~$1200), but they are DFHD, not DQHD, i.e. 3840x1080 res.

Well if you want 1440p then go for 27"/32" Samsung CHG70, it's the best Samsung gaming monitor imo. 144Hz, 1ms, QLED + HDR

I'd love to upgrade to this monitor. I've been waiting for it before it existed, but it's out of my budget right now.

All Samsung QLEDs are curved afaik.. and curved is way better for large 34+" UW imo.

Would a 1070 be able to drive a 49" DFHD screen?
