Because technology moves so fast that you will probably want to swap it sooner.

    Yep.

$/GB prices are dropping (even though our peso is worth nothing and will only get worse from here), performance is increasing and i largely agree that M2 PCIE wont exist in 3 years.

NVMe is only *just* starting to get worked out in consumer land - we will have 2-3 revisions in those 3 years imo.

So PCCaseGear pushed back the stock ETA from 17th to the 23rd...anyone know why? Stock not arrived or a large demand?

Our stock is due on 16/10, but it may end up being pushed back. We have some on backorder already for our resellers.

This is more inline with Scorptec ETA so I'm guessing this is when AUS stock is arriving. Also PCCG love price gouging so watch them prices go up as soon as stock arrives.

So I got mine from PCCG, it's safe to assume they will ship the drive for the amount I paid for it?

It's only after the fact they bump up prices due to scarcity, and desperate people pay?

You should be fine. If you pre-order, they charge you the pre-order price.

Supply and demand is a bitch, but yes you will get it at the price you paid.

There honestly isn't much profit in these drives at all, so I wouldnt be surprised as demand rises and the US dollar fluctuates prices will go up.

Whats the go if you don't have native m2 on your mobo?

Has anyone used an adapter they can recommend to run it in a pcie slot?

I have heard of a few guys using the addonics PCI-e m.2 adapter card with good results.

The keyword here is: for sale on "pre-order". Mine just got pushed back to ETA 28th Oct.

But this is basically just the SM951 in retail form, so you can go off the reviews for that. It couldn't be worse right? lol

The SM951 uses MLC memory and the 950 Pro uses the new V-Nand, so there will be a difference.

My guess there are no reviews because Samsung haven't shipped anything out yet.

I got an email from PLE today (not automated) that my pre-ordered 256GB version is due on the 22nd. But won't be surprised if that changes tomorrow.. :Paranoid:

I was incorrect in saying it's a SM951, but the performance is very similar.

Scorptec now displaying ETA as 2/11, and PCCaseGear showing 30/10.
