    Pros
    • Takes great quality photos and videos compared to other point and shooters
    • Xenon flash light is superb
    • Most powerful camera in terms of processing power, speed and performance: basically the same as the Samsung Galaxy S3's processing power
    • Excellent SLCD 2 display with accurate colors
    • Extremely great zoom of 21X with excellent detail
    • Excellent software features including Instagram, photo & video editing and various modes of shooting
• Excellent sharing options including group sharing, all share play, cloud storage, HD media streaming
    • 3 different modes including expert mode which enables users to manually change the ISO, exposure value, aperture and shutter speed

    Cons
    • Time to auto focus is not the best
    • More expensive than hoped
    • Heavier than other point and shoot cameras (although still compact)
    • Limited color options

Looks like an interesting device, but I cant help but wonder how much harder would have it been to allow it to make phone calls via the sim as opposed to just 3g?

The Samsung Galaxy Camera is also the first 4G LTE camera.

    Why ISN'T this a phone?

I mean what idiot designer sits there, says to themselves "gee, wouldn't it be great to have a camera with 3G that is basically a smartphone" and DOESN'T make the last, logical leap to "hey, why not make it a smartphone too?".

We're dealing with megalithic design companies here and yet sometimes, you just have to wonder.

Considering the high end technology that went into this camera, I doubt having smartphone functionality would work.

    Think about it.

That hypothetical device would cost a lot more to make. Also it would be awkward to hold a camera to your ear. You also need to consider battery life.

People say the same thing about the note, using a 5.5" device as a phone looks stupid but its still popular. This is only 1cm thicker than the GS3, for the added camera that is totally worth it.

    1cm is a huge difference. It's 10mm.

Companies boast their smartphones for being 7 or 8mm thin.

Still thinner than having this AND a phone in your pocket.

How would it cost significantly more to make? If that were true, they wouldn't put 3g in it in the first place.

And yeah, it wouldn't be the best telephone on the market. But it would be a fascinating cross device and if they actually redesigned the housing, it could be a compelling device. Or at least an interesting one.

The way it is, its just a glorified P&S

I think the idea with this device is the shape makes it a horrible phone but with it having wifi it means you can use your mobile as a 3G/4G hub for posting pictures while on the go.

Does anyone know if this camera can do burst shot like the S3 can?

Everytime i try to google that, It returns results for the S3 and not the Galaxy Camera.

Was going to get a DSLR, but this may just be much easier (all im after is good zoom with decent pictures) Seeing as this is running android, Does make life easier for me with syncing photos etc (dropbox)
