It's super easy to flash the Indian ROM. I flashed it onto my Vodafone note 4 without issues. Also got the latest OTA update too. And finally it doesn't trip Knox so your warranty is safe.

I am going to skip pre-5.1.1 Lollipop updates.

does it factory reset your phone? As in everything is wiped clean again once you do the update..

Or is it like the offical OTA update and all your stuff stays intact?

Just like the OTA. Takes a while for all the apps to upgrade, particularly with the runtime change in lollipop, but your phone will still be setup.

    You will be fine.

Just remember, be patient, it may take a while to flash and boot for the first time after the flash.

No matter what, do not unplug the cable while you are flashing.

I did a factory reset after I flashed the Indian ROM as I was having severe battery issues on Kit Kat. Much better now.

I didn't want to factory reset as I have my work stuffs on it, so I just wiped my cache, and everything works fine.

Battery is ok, and scored almost 50k on antutu

    Lollipop 5.0.

Not a bad os, different but nice. I hate the fact that they took the sound option out of the power button.
does anyone know how to get it back. I do know how to turn silent on through the drop down menu.

Kogan, if you don't mind grey import. Only $689 now, which is a bargain for what you get.

Wow, that's a pretty good price. I Was thinking I should wait for the note 5 edge, but I hear that the note 5 edge will be lower specced than the note 5. Which is strange as I thought the edge was the premium version.

Still looking to buy a note 4 edge at a decent price (~$700-800) in Australia. Can't find anything reasonable :(

did the best thing ever and ditch the nexus 5 to the note 4. only due to the shit battery life the nexus had. now with the note 4 last me 2 days before i need to charge with the same usage on the nexus i was looking for a charger by noon.

i think i'll skip the lollipop update, seems to run well on kitkat atm.
