New or second hand? Assuming second hand and in excellent condition I'd say anywhere up to $600.

Happy to be corrected but I think they use a mix of local and grey. They will use a 1 year back to Kogan warranty.

Last deal I saw on Kogan for the S8 (4 weeks ago), dual sim (so grey import) was $699 new (currently $689. S9 dual sim on special from them a few weeks ago was $899.

Are the grey imports compatible for aus carriers?

Certainly haven't heard otherwise. My dual sim S8 works fine.

Oh, that's good to hear. So what's the main difference between grey and aus spec?

I personally wouldn't know the exact differences, but there can be some small hardware differences. Mainly people are concerned over warranties.

I guess from their original RRP it's a drop, but for anyone looking to buy one outright i'd hope they'd shop around.

I'm having problems with the S8+ camera focus fixed at ~30cm 90% of the time. Google results suggest clearing cache for the phone and camera 'app'.

Edit: old fashioned whack against the back (with 2 fingers) works every time.

My s8 seems to lose at least 25% battery a day when in standby...normal?

    No. That seem bit excessive.
See what you have running in the background.
Have switched power saver mode / device maintenance on ?

PS. I have Galaxy S8+ with Android 8.0.0

Have you used Close All to see if that makes any difference? There is also the built in "Optimize" function that you can run to free up memory.

~4 days standby for a smartphone is considered pretty awesome to be honest, try and get an Apple phone to do that.
