New Android 9 OTA 1.2Gb Update landed, to make S8/S9s look like S10s. Will take some time to get used to, but looks more cleaner I guess.
Where do I go to see my notification history?? Yes I've googled and they suggest there is a Notification Log but I can't find it where they say it should be in settings....must be due to software changes (and yes I've tried enabling dev mode).
I don't think it's possible. Galaxy Store > install Samsung Good Lock > install NotiStar and add to Home screen
Ok thanks for that, I'll give it a try tonight. Don't see why we shouldn't be able to see notification history by default...*shrug*
Samsung dev teams must dislike stock Android; they have to replace everything with their own. At any rate, NotiStar within Good Lock does what you want.
Haven't gotten around to it yet because it's an apk install and not in the store right? Also, another issue, anyone got a bug where I have multiple email accounts in Samsung mail....and I have set it to check all accounts and present all emails on the main email screen....but sometimes it will just flick over to one email account and on the mail email screen I only see emails from that account. Mildly annoying when I think I'm looking at all my emails over several accounts but I'm only looking at one. Doesn't happen all the time but happens more frequently than I'm happy with. Was a bug introduced with a recent release I think.
Is it worth getting one of these to replace an s7? The s10 costs too much. Any thoughts on Aus vs import?
That's a reasonable change so I would say yes it's probably worth it. I've had an import with my last S8, no issues. Might have been a different story if I'd had any issues, but for a saving of $100-$200 I thought I'd take the risk in terms of warranty. My current S9 is local. So really it's your choice but with the import you can have dual sim which is a real bonus imo. My default however would always be to buy locally.
Still getting this annoying email bug: https://forums.overclockers.com.au/posts/18205355/ Anyone else getting it?
Another big update just came down this morning. So issues with it. Hopefully fixed my email bug but doubt it.
I went from the S7 to the S9 a long time ago and the jump was noticably especially in games, for the cheaper price now i would say definately if you dont "need" the latest and greatest.
For anyone still on the S9 like me we just had another update come down. Hmmmmm.....maybe time for me to upgrade.....but to what....
Same here. S9+ still going strong, apart from the battery which has become less reliable. If S11 or Note11 go with higher screen refresh (90 or 120), I think I'll upgrade then.
