I can see mine fine - what are your USB connection settings? Are you attaching the SD card to the PC exclusively as a storage device instead of an MTP device?

Tried it as USB and pictures only. No dice. It can see the SD card and does save stuff to it but yeah on PC only Internal Storage comes up.

anyone had any success with glass screen protectors? the one I got (cheap) was a joke.. was a nuglass.. wasnt very clear, was thick and u could see the glue on edges :thumbdn:

Back to film for now till I decide (which is lifting on edges) might need to bite bullet and go one of the expensive $60 glass ones.

I highly recommend the Whitestone Dome Glass. The ones with adhesive on the edges are the worst kind you can get. Sensitivity on the dome glass is great & the edges aren't felt when using the device.

Thats hectic as, glad to see some proper glass protectors though the ones with glue only on the outsides are useless.

Why not rock a naked screen for the first year and if it gets scratched you can "accidentally" crack your screen and get it replaced free of charge?

Yeah - dump the protector. If the glass is the same as the S8+ it is super scratch resistant.
Use mine in heavy metal dust environment with no scratches at all so far for many months.

    It's more about drop protection.

The dome cover looks real good compared to normal screen protectors for sure. The video above is a beaut.
I do have a cracked screen but can't see it most of the time. The top layer is some magic coating I'm sure haha.

Man I am cranky, at time of preorder the XL plan only had 5 extra gigs data for $10 more.. now it has like 40gigs more!! Telstra wont let me upgrade to it, offer is for new customers only... complaint submitted, see how we go.

Anything stopping me from using a self powered 3.5" external HDD (1TB) plugged in via the USB-C port for backing up videos while travelling?

Edit: update.... works fine! just prompts to format it, works well!

Normally I'd agree but with a S8+ in my hands, I don't see the need to upgrade. Even with discount it's a $300 more than my current phone.

I think u can get price down even further at HN by price matching Officeworks.

And some holders of AMEX get even further discounts at HN if they haven't used the offer yet.

The Note 8 is a massive step up from the iPhone, especially in a work environment. If you're happy for grey import, you can also get them quite cheap from Kogan too.

What email app do you use? I have tried everything it seems and nothing works aswell as the iOS mail app. I have 4 email accounts and everything just works better through iOS mail. I agree note 8 is the best phone out this year and I’m using a iPhone X.

I'm using the GMail app with several accounts through it, including an enterprise Google account, a free Google account, an Office 365 account, a generic IMAP and a generic POP3 account. Works a treat.
