Well have picked the above tv up from work the other day, come home plug it in turn on it buzzes, more like an electrical type of noise i guess,

I site approx 5 meters away and when no sound coming from it can hear the noise, and even can hear it when there is sound to a certain point,

The damn thing is driving me nuts, i dont know if its plasma operational sound or not,

Would this be worth a call to samsung?

Before i had bought it there was one on display and from what i recall it was dead silent, No noise

Will check display one again tomorow, if its dead silent ill be asking for a swap

A lot of people have had Samsung Plasma TVs that buzz.

Complain to the shop and get it swapped over.

Contact Samsung, if it's within (can't remember 1 or 2) weeks since purchase, they'll oraganise a technician to visit your place to check it, and they'll do the swap. Isn't done through store anymore, at least it shouldn't be according to Samsung policy.

Nah, I can't....even though I know its there. Which, if you think about it long enough, you will find you hear it even when you're in bed and the TV is off

The ua55d7000 i have now suffers from backlight bleed and motion stutter/blur

I have seen the es8000 on the floor at HN and no issues at all with it,

The manager isnt in today, but regardless its either going to be a swap for the es7500 or $3200 cash back today, and stick with the d7000 i have

As i have been Approved for refund straight from samsung so i dont think the manager does not have to be there to approve it as its all ready been approved

I know how the local HN works here as i have worked for them before

Indeed, why not consider the Panasonic. Picture quality will be better of anything. I find the motion and voice control gimicky on the new gen Samsungs, as seriously, do you really need dual core in a tv?

I take it the OP expects to get the perfect TV. Well news is that will not happen!
The panasonics also have a buzz, flicker like crazy and still have many of the issues that plagued last year's models. However at leat the design of the frame has improved from the ugliness of the models from the past few years.

My Panasonic V30 55" makes no noise and is a sensational tv. Blu Ray's look incredible.

    Hey Bud,

So your complained to Samsung about your bleed issues for your UA55D7000? Mine has heavy clouding in the corners.... just waiting for the remainder of the D7000's do be sold so that if I go for warranty, they will have no choice but to upgrade me...

I bought one of these this week and i can hear buzzing but once sound starts then you cant hear the buzzing over the sound.

On a side note what are the recommended settings?

Also how does 3d work..? with tv watching you press the 3d button on the remote and put the glass's on and its 3d but for blurays do you have to buy a bluray that is specifically for 3d?

You will need a 3D Bluray disc and a 3D Bluray player.
