Cheers will do (I'm guessing Agg is the mod around here). I'm still not sure if organising a group buy will be too much hassle. But I figure if I'm asking for a shipping quote for 3 units I might as well get a second quote for a higher quantity just in case.

But certainly if I decide to organise a group buy I'll ask for Agg's approval, and try to figure out some reasonable way to organise the purchase to reduce risk of default and provide some kind of assurance to participants. (edit: Agg's inbox seems to be full, But I'll try again tomorrow :) )

Even if I decide I'm too lazy or risk averse to arrange a group buy a few shipping quotes might be useful info for other people.

In other news here's a recent review: http://www.seriouseats.com/2013/09/equipment-we-test-the-199-sous-vide-circulato.html

A group buy would probably be approved if the gadgets in question are difficult/annoying to get individually in Oz. But with no disrespect to simulacrum81, it would have to be organised by someone who isn't a New Member. :)

Beat me to it! No offence taken. :)

I've asked anova to quote me shipping charges to Melb for 3 and 6 units respectively. When I get a reply I will post the quoted amounts here for anyone who would care to organise a purchase.

probably have to get at least 10 units to get a decent discount id imagine?

id be in too if the group buy is happening

i reckon if we can get to 10 units we might get ourselves a bit of a discount

    Get a steak :)
It was melt in your mouth tender. I used sirloin.
Finished it off over charcoal on the kamado.
Sorry, I will take pics next time...

I've got some fish in at the moment.
