Benchvent finally arrived and now I'm out of space to set everything up comfortably. Hmm.
The paint jobs on those tanks are a work of art! I salute you!
Finally finished the Italeri M110A2 my dad gave me for Christmas.
Absolutely rubbish kit, plastic quality is pretty awful (literally half the wheels snapped on the axles after using a light wash with white spirits), but end result isn't too bad.
No fancy photos, just a couple of quick shots.
Still a great looking kit
Reworked over the last couple of weeks. Time to get back to it.
Wow - that looks great. I'm almost re-inspired to go build some again (have some sitting in a cupboard that never got built).
Looks great, nicely organised.
Where did you get the paint storags shelves from ?
They're the hobbyzone.pl racks from AMMO. Not totally sold on them as they're all slightly different sizes even when built with clamps, but they fit a lot more in the same space than my custom rack.
How cool is this?
Interesting, looks like a scene from Fury Road
Wasn't sure about posting but what the hell. I only have the use of one arm and recently completed my first model kit in years. An F-16 Eggplane. Took me months rather than hours to complete. I have to work slowly and patiently and figure out how to do every tiny thing with only one hand to work with. May seem a waste of time and probably is but its a challenge I wanted to attempt and certainly enjoyed. While the stash exists I think I'll be modelling more and working on my skills.
Brush painted except for base flat white rattle can and clear satin (gloss for canopy). Ultimately I'm working towards eventually recreating an RAAF photo of a Mirage my dad used to work on. Got model and decals, eventually need to try to source 1/48 figures for posing. Try to remember I'm a cripple when you flame my result guys! Damn Eggplanes are cute and addictive, so are gundam Bears.
Never a waste of time mate, considering you only have use of one arm the end product is excellent. Keep up the good work.
All about having fun mate. If you're working towards something and you enjoy doing it then that's what it's all about.
Relegated to the dining room table...for now
Some awesome models guys. Very impressed with the paint jobs done on them, absolutely beautiful!
Geez, someone likes German Tank Destroyers and SPG's as much as I do.
I'm building a Bandai Gundam at the moment for a mates Birthday present, going to be interesting to see how it comes up with some washing and weathering.
Yeah sorta goes in waves with me. I'll do tanks for a while and get bored so half tracks 250 / 251 it is. Now it's SPG's but have bought some WW1 armour so that's next. German armour is my main diet as there is so much variety. Gonna try Russian perhaps but need to research.
Would like to see some pics of the finished Bandai as well
World War Toons Meng Firefly that a colleague gave me for Christmas. Great little build - had a lot of fun over the 10 or so hours it took. Need to work on getting some tone and colour variation in my pigments.
Hah, funny looking kit but nice work again. Is it 1/35 scale, if so it looks really small, maybe too difficult for these fat fingers.
It's small but it's all click together, two sprue build. Here it is next to my other current project, the old Tamiya 1/35 Tiger for scale.
