    Hey guys,

Got the opportunity to go to the South Island of NZ in July for a holiday. Being an avid landscape photographer i took a stack of gear with me too and came back with ~300gb of images.

Majority of these are stitched panoramas, mostly with a Zeiss 50mm F2 Makro on my 5D2.

Some really spectacular shots there. Just got back from NZ myself, and you do justice to what the eye sees (and more). If I had to pick one, then 'Nugget Point Lighthouse' stands out, despite a strange composition (others might be nicer photos, and prettier), but it summarises a crazy, unforgiving landscape that is still amazingly beautiful.

Anyway, enough ranting, great photos mate, and I wish I was still there D:

Also you'll have no lack of opportunities in Tassie... it's basically as much of a photographer's wet dream as NZ is.

really fantastic set, lots of Lord of the Rings type landscapes.

I particulary like the sunset church then the night church one after the other...

Yeah, wow. I'd be happy with one or two of that quality from a trip. Looks like lots of early starts. :)

Do you handhold panoramas or use a tripod/panohead?

Using a panorama head for these panos. Usually 5-7 images wide, then slightly cropped.
In this set though, the first 3 are handheld, and the last image is a 3 row handheld shot and the edit is just over 300MP (i missed it out in the first post, adding it now).

Nice work. I think my favourite would have to be the one of the stars over Queenstown titled 'Queenstown'. They are all great though.

These have got to be some of the absolute WORST NZ landscape photos I have EVER seen.

Composition is bad, lighting is off, photos are exposed incorrectly, subjects misplaced around the frame... absolutely horrible work mate.

    Hate them all!!!

Had me worries for a second :p

I thought that i was going to struggle over there, with only a few days worth of sunrises/sunsets - and most of the landscapes being shot during the day when i wouldnt normally bother, but i was stocked at the results in the end. Lee filters help alot with balancing things with full sun, but in general i was stocked with it.

Good stuff. "Queenstown" is the winner in my book.
