Oct 4 is europe, pretty sure we still get 19-09-19 (or 17 maybe)
That's interesting... JB Hi-fi still says 19 September, but historically Australia has been lumped in with Europe ever since PAL was a thing.
I believe in this case it's legitimately physical shipping that's the hold up, and not BS regional distributor nonsense.
DF have their video up
It's pretty cool to see people compare original hardware to the new things side by side. One thing that caught my attention is the music on the mini has a delay.
Id love to see them do the same kind of analysis to the MiSTer core as their attention to detail is impeccable
Unfortunately the modern gaming press demonstrate their inability to do basic research.
Literally describing standard Megadrive behaviour of rapidly switching between two sprites (or flashing a sprite on and off) in a game. Real hardware behaviour, and not "an emulation issue".
i mean it's IGN, do you expect more?
From a "Tech and Commerce Editor", yeah, I expect more.
Alright getting interested in this mega tower.
Now looking for the best place to get this.
you might have left it to late, when i ordered the allocation was exhausted a couple of days later.
Bugger, I'll get it off eBay.
How much did you paid for it if you don't mind me asking?
way too much. i think it was more than the console.
Sometimes I think that I'm a little too obsessed with this hobby.
Then you come along, and make me feel better.
i believe these are shipping today for pre-orders from JB for anyone that cares and doesn't already know.
I received a shipping notice yesterday, but the Auspost tracking says it's expected to be delivered on Monday
Are these available in-store today?
you'd think so today is the official launch day. mine's due tuesday apparently, remind me again why i pre-order!?
classic auspost only they would consider wednesday to tuesday as "On Time".
And I thought the 4-hour window your ISP gives you to wait around at home was bad.
How good is Aussie customer service, eh?
Just saw news that the port of Darius was actually made as a collaboration between M2 and the homebrew developer hidecade, who had previously released an unofficial version:
There was speculation about the link between the two versions as far back as July.
I don't think that M2 are getting enough credit for what they've done, they didn't even just slap the NTSC versions on the PAL region console (like Nintendo), I've heard that they've completely modified the original PAL games so that they are the versions we remember (but better of course).
I'd love to see a full "making of" for this device, to churn out this many games for this device in the relatively short time they've had is phenomenal.
Lol you have No Idea!! .. you oughta try customer service here. lol.. I love going back and lavishing in australian customer service, its amazing, even when its done badly. Here, once they have your money, no costermer service. period, hell, even before handing over your money, there is no customer service, they think they are doing YOU a favour ..LETTING you buy "Insert said product here" , (i had this with a porsche cayenne, where the guy said to me, you askin a lot of questions, (after I inquired about the stock airbags that came with the car) you want to buy the car or not? ) literary after sitting down for 3 minutes to discuss the inclusions with the car.
I LOVE oz, for its awesomely awesome customer service.
Ive got Boston at the end of the Month, ill probably pick one up there. Might be nice for the kids.
