our work is upgrading their LCDs, all are samsung 226BWs, and instead of sending these to ross's i asked if i could buy all 6 for $200

so, for a wicked flight sim project i was wondering how to set up 6 monitors - hardware wise

is it just as simple as putting in 3 graphics cards (2 outputs each) [non sli] and plugging them in?

or is there a more lengthy process? :Pirate:

I would have thought an EyeFinity setup would be absolutely ideal here. Grab a 5870 2gb edition and a couple of display port adapter cables and you're all set!

If you want to power six monitors to play flight sims, you really should go for:
    - An ATI 5870 2gb 6 edition which are priced from $619
    - Six 22" (or larger) LCD monitors at ~ $200 each = $1200
    - An arm stand for six monitors at $300(?)

You're looking at spending at least $2k to do this properly plus whatever you want to spend on your flight sim controllers. Still keen? :)
