Guys, my faithful old tech bench is finally due for an upgrade and I just acquired a Phobya 1080 radiator (thanks Dannyboi) so while I am cooking up ways to use it I was wondering how you guys have mounted your huge rad array. Please add pics so we can see your beastly setups

If you want to list the parts in your loop that would be cool (!) too.

I can even start a "Big Water Owners" club, so get your big rad rigs up here.

shane41 - I think you have a radiator array to show us :Pirate:
    Dannyboi - you too ;)

    The more exotic, the better.

    :D :D :D

This is my old set up.

The rad was/is a monster, and I loved that set up with the smallish case and all external cooling - but I have since moved to a big case and internal fans.

I am actually in the process of changing / rearranging it atm but you definitely don't want to have it in a modified core X9 like I did as it takes too much room up LOL I actually had 2 of them installed in that core X9 case modded.

I reckon get one of those Thermaltake open frame wall cases like P3 or P5 and mount it on the rear. Or you could purchase the radiator frame / holder ? im late has one.

Shane that's fucking insane, those AC exhausts just ice the cake  How much does the red loop hold fully primed?

I took my inspiration for my ghetto external setup from yours Komm, I just wasn't rolling in dough :p

    Here's my old girl:

Was with me for three rebuilds within about two years. Faultless. Miss it heaps. Total cost about $350

... and the trick is save batteries till early in the morning. Only when the panels see some energy can you belt OC.
Wintertime is best. -5c pulls the cold air in. :leet:

My GPU pulls around 560 watts, so this is really struggling with the CPU in the same loop:

Molex is pointless at this level, but I am a little OCD.

You know I love you man - but those fans are only covering 2/3 of the rad spaces... Sorry I am physics insane…. :Paranoid:

Haha this part :D Fuck physics ... did I mention cyclone before. Slow pump speed + surface area is your friend

    Another response.

How many times do you hear what is best for you? How can you know. You try it. So much advice & it is always offered free. Right advice?
I appreciate crazy or weird I really do :)
... and here is the thing. Circumstance. OC needs a lot of cooling power & 80% of the time it's not there.

Crazy = my next radiator. 6 foot from air con unit.

For the sake of the thread. I hope Macsbeach won't mind :Paranoid: showing off his Frankenstein 775 creation for Country Cup.
This is a talented man, a powerful overclocker. Why I nickname him Mr Consistent.

haha shit Shane that's ghetto to the max. I thought it was a photo taken 15 years ago inside a caravan for a second. What max temps do you get on it?
I'm about to pull the trigger on 2x480 rads for my loop.

It's Austin Powers time machined back to the 70's here man. :D I love cool old things. 60's caravans. My old fords back to 95.
... and I'm stuck in the time warp Rocky Horror picture style. Still listen to the same music in my youth. My youth where da fakk did that go :Paranoid: :D
Listen to my hybrid valve amp + 1985 Jamo 365 powers.
Ah my boat is a Glastron v156 sportster ... aqua lift hull

I'm old & I like old shit
    __________

Temps ... that's a very broad question. So these radiators face to the East. On the right day with a light westerly wind. I could run full passive no fans.
8086K in say a 3D benchmark 6c6t 55x ... ambient of about 30c load on the processor would be about 75c

9900KS this is still a hot processor IMO. Really thinking to rip that lid off that sucker. Run naked.
So 3D 8c16t I'm just on 53x 1.395v bios for stability. It could run lower BUT I have enough cooling power to be sure of rock stable runs. No bullshit.
Ideally you want 10c ambient because your peak temps are 80c. A warm evening of say 25c forget it. I'll back off to 52x multi OR less 50x even testing
