    They will do it, however it will be years of work and they will release it as SimCity 6.

    Well hopefully they do it. I remember playing Sim City 4 and compared to 3000 I was like, WTF the map is so small! But it's just big enough so it's not too bad. To make it smaller again I would have an issue with it.

    I received an email from Maxis this morning, asking me to come back to playing SC. (Even though I received a full refund on the game?)

    My gut feeling is that there are too many fans who want a decent Simcity game for Maxis to ignore. All we can hope is that Maxis (or someone new, I'd like to see Valve have a crack at a city simulator) spend the time reflecting on Simcity 2013, actually listen to the people who play city simulators, AND spend $$$ on decent programmers & designers who know how to put such a game together.

    As for returning to play Simcity 2013, it can wait. Anno 2070 & Tropico 4 have been waiting in line for too long now, and I'll be playing these games first.

    I got the same email. It smelled a bit pathetic to be honest. I think i could count the number of hours I played this on one hand.

    Has anyone played with the improvments? Do the cities work properly now?

    I got the same email. It kind of tempted me to go back and I might have a look. But if I lose a city to that stupid 'your city is still processing' or whatever it was then I'm out for good. Haven't touched the game for ~6 months, actually completely forgot about it.

    Yeah did they ever even fix the bloody traffic and emergency services issues? Or are they too busy throwing out DLC and paid expansion packs to squeeze more dollars out of all six people globally who truly enjoyed the game?

    I think I'm one of those 6 people but I'm still not getting the exorbitantly priced DLC.

    this past week i thought i would give it another go after watching a couple of vids from a guy on youtube. Just following some basic ideas i was able to create a number of cities with little to no traffic and actually make them profitable. My next is to get a casino town to make money. It is a challenge planning everything out and getting the population to go where you want them to. if your interested check out Skye Storm on youtube, he gets really into it giving pretty much everything a story.

    The idea of building upwards is cool, and would alleviate the issue of space somewhat, but i dont think im going to pay another $30 for it.

    I had fun in SimCity 5 but i think i would grow tired of this one much quicker.

    Does SimCity still "fake" the population count too?

    Havent played Simcity in a while, but gave it another shot on the weekend, and found it quite enjoyable. Good to see most the bugs have been sorted.

    Might pickup the expansion pack, some of the new features sound fairly cool. Still a bit dissapointed that there are no larger maps coming.

    It looks like EA are finally listening, below is a snip I found regarding their recently cancelled C&C 2013 title;

    It's as if some executive moron at EA insisted that classic single player games be forced into the brave new world of MMO & DLC. At least they pulled the plug on C&C...

    Economy based multiplayer experience... fuck social gaming!

    Played that alpha. The core concepts weren't that good to begin with. Didn't miss out on much. Using real money to buy ingame credits? Bah.
