HB Outlet - Anybody heard from them? Tried calling them from this morning and yesterday and no response, always engaged or never answers?

Tried emailing twice and nothing either. Supposedly I ordered the last one from them, and people have received them from ordering on Friday, but I have heard no response since.

    Any luck?

Shite. Chrome Autofill put the wrong suburb in for my HDD's! OH NOES! They are back @ Scorptech now. Another $10 for re-delivery; which is reasonable.

Aren't issues with 4K sectors caused by a combination of "512 byte emulation" on the specific drive and the type of OS or file system? It shouldn't be anything to do with the hardware of the HP MicroServer.

I think Megabuy caught on pretty quick to the popularity and demand for these. My guess is they bought up as much stock as they could from Dicker Data, and had it shipped to them. It would explain why nobody else had any stock, but Megabuy kept going for a long while

Pretty smart business move on their part.

If you are storing large files, is there any reason not to?

Mine just arrived in Brisbane from Megabuy (ordered Friday night by CC), so that info might bring some cheer to others that are still waiting. :)

just the things I've read about it causing issues etc makes me not want to buy them :( they are cheaper too.

Will this cause issues with freenas?

Apparently there is a checkbox for 4k drives you can select? I've not actually got mine yet, but that's what I've read.

Sweet, ordered mine friday night too by CC, although only changed to 'shipped' this morning.

I'm in the same boat. Ordered on Sunday arvo and deliberately waited until the status was "order shipped" before buying extra ECC RAM. Will be very annoyed if they can't deliver.
