It seems they have heaps that still need to be sent out. 400 sales in 3 days! None left for sale, unfortunately.

Those making use of the RAID 0/1 functionality built in - what are you using to manage the disks / state of the array?. I can't seem to find any sort of management software online for it.

Even my lowest of low-end raid cards have some sort of software that allows you to monitor the state of the array and setup email warnings ect. ect. I would have expected SOMETHING from a branded box that's labelled as a server & geared towards business.

anyone receive paypal refund from DesyTek? how long it will take.

i dont want to be on backorder when there are no more units left.

me thinking going back to QNAP TS-410

wished should have gone with megabuy instead of this stupid DesyTek :wired:

paypal refunds usually take a few days, akin to bank transfers.
however I would hold off on the QNAP, given the fact megabuy has admitted to some users bulk buying (I don't count 5 units as a bulk buy) so unless they are stocking up for friends and family..and the pet dog, I'm thinking these will go on sale in other avenues shortly. I've got an daily eBay search running just in case another pops up at a reasonable price :)

they have diagnostics download on their website (~45mb) which may contain some, otherwise may need to hunt for something from the chipset manufacturer (AMD?)

    Here's my story

I ordered from (another company) Friday night 11pm using BPay, didn't know it wasnt instant. Got an email Tuesday lunch from (that company) saying they ran out, no stock. I WAS PISSED OFF!!!
So I rang MegaBUY, DickSMITH, OFFICEworks and Harris Tech. Suprisingly HT has 20 coming on backorder from somewhere. I said GIMME GIMME GIMME $205 + $10 post.

I was lucky enough to buy one Tuesday afternoon from HT, left warehouse today.

there may be hope for others yet, if HT were able to get stock.

i think HP wanted to get rid of the whole left over lot, and its pretty much gone.

its like end of the world, but these piss farting kind of online shops just lost credibility the way they handle orders, and deal with their customers. :thumbdn:

i would really appreciate OP for posting such a great deal here.

I saw your post on WP :p
yeah (the other company) has something to answer for, there handling was atrocious.
but at the same time megabuy was a also a little slow, probably causing much more email traffic and calls to them than if they had updated the orders more often, such as telling us they are not drop shipping and they are receiving orders themselves etc etc. and actually confirming stock allocation.

    eh?
