whats the go with these things, although its the last socket, you cant buy new ones, 2nd hands dearer than 1151, not that i like them anyway but sometimes have no choice

also i recently sold a 4690k on fleabay for a friend, & now the buyer is claiming faulty, yet i practically pulled it out when it was still going.

Probably just means they are out of stock. No body will pay $260. I am really wary buying k cpus though, god know what crazy overclocks have been forced on it,

Almost nowhere will actually be stocking 8/9 series 1150 boards for sale. I'd be looking at used.
I think I have a couple relatively-crappy boards (ITX/mATX) somewhere if you're desperate. Let me know

yes he mentioned using a card & funny thing he said was, the mobo needed updating for the card to work ? im behind the times but i never thought a mobo would need a bios update for a gpu ?
no i didnt but i bloody will next time if there is one,

if he sends it back, but theres light, i won the paypal dispute saying that it did work when i sent it(it did) & he hasnt bothered to send it back yet, if he does i'll decide then how nice i am

& i learnt something else, if you link your ebay account with your paypal account (as most do) you automatically waive your " no returns " option on ebay. i allway put this on any 2nd hand flea sale.
but according to paypal terms & conditions, you waiver that, i even noticed they put my account -$130 before the dispute was decided

so if you ebay at all, go change your settings.

No reasonably modern board will need a bios update (any board 1155 and newer wouldn't).

I've had my 1070 in 1155 boards no problem.
