    so some german collector cashed in on that sale. i'm curious how much gursky has made out of photography vs the people who buy and sell his images.

    I wish I had a frided with millions to spare. Get them to buy your shot for $5mill, give the money back, pay taxes. Then sell the rest of your shots for millions to rich collectors...

    I think it's a cool picture. The full impact of the photograph would only be felt when it's printed and placed on a wall though. He prints BIG.

    I'm guessing his name sold the photo more than photographic merit.
    Still it's pretty aesthetically pleasing though hardly worth 4.3 mil but then again I'm not mister money bags.
