    G'day folks,

My X79 Sabertooth board has a damaged 8pin EPS12V power connector that needs to be replaced. I've sourced a donor board with an intact connector, but a local hobby shop couldn't desolder it :Paranoid: turns out mainboards use lead-free solder which requires much higher working temps!

Does anyone in Perth have experience + equipment for such a task? Willing to travel anywhere in the Perth metro area

Everything that's mass produced these days will be using lead-free solder.

Adding leaded solder to the joint before trying to de-solder it should make it melt easier.
