    hey all
    i ordered this off here

    http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/216149829.html

can I use that adapter with a power socket adapter and use it?

the ad doesn't mention if it works with 110v or 220v, or what have you.
    china voltage is 220v apparently.

does it matter with a DC adapter?

You'll have to check when it arrives.
Yes China uses 220V, but their plug is very similar to ours.
The included PSU looks to have a US plug, so you can expect it to be 110V.
If your lucky, they'll check the postal address and include the right adapter (some do).

China is 220V and their plug is apparently the same as an ANZ plug except upside down (IIRC).

Most power supplies these days are universal voltage, just make sure it's 50Hz or 50/60Hz (not 60Hz only) and if it does come with a different plug, and provided it has been stated to work with 220V/50Hz, you can buy a cheap plug adapter and use that.

Otherwise you may even be able to find a spare plugpack around the house that would work. Just make sure that the voltage is the same and the amperage is the same or higher, and make sure they are both either DC or AC depending on what the product requires.
