    We just got some Thumper 20mm LEDs at DSE.

    haha, these things are fun as. Unfortunatly the blues are about 10.5v and only 600mcd. THey are a bit of fun though, bright but not up there with the hi-intensity ones.

    Good one ;p

    But seriously, I think its a bit of a Wollongong (see repressed Sydney) word for big things.

    Usually in response to pill potency.

    2cm LED's?? if they are uber-bright LED's you could probably make yourself some funky case lighting.

    Does anyone know the voltage/drain of these beasties?

    ohm law ;
    V=IR

    Supply: 12 V
    V=12V-3.5v-3.6v=4.9v
    I=0.02A(most of them is 0.02A)
    R=?

    4.9V=0.02A*R
    R=4.9V/0.02A
    R=245(+-5%)ohm

    Yeah i was playing with these when they came into work turns out there actually 4 leds put into one hence the 10.5v
    There not very bright but the size makes em cool enough.
    4 different ones
    Red Red
    Blue Blue
    YellowYellow
    GreenGreen

    Trust us to charge 3 bucks more for the blue one:D but hey thats marketing!

    Blue LEDs are more expensive to produce.

    Dude, if you work at DSE surely you have a stack of digital cameras there on display? I'm sure your boss would actually approve too if you told him you were showing a bunch of electronics freaks the new stock.
