It SHOULDN'T be. I'd only been playing for less than 10min. I'm still right near the stsrt of the game and I found some hidden cave with a plane ontop of these pillar things that you have to shoot lantern so it'll fall down. Even the sound was glitching which surprised me. Granted the ps4 was downloading an update in the background but that shouldn't make it freak out that badly

Unsure. Sony is splitting its TV business and selling off its PC business. It would be great though. Sony tv's have a very agressive game mode and have the lowest latency of any of the major manufacturers. I would certainly pick up a 32-40inch Sony tv if it came with a PS4 thats for sure.

I got a feeling that with Sony's new streaming game service (once it's available) they might release TV's with a controller and a year subscription or something along those lines. Doubt they will give away free PS4's anytime soon or if they do decide to it will be really high end tvs.

yep thats why I grabbed a sony lcd - game mode is awesome and you can control the ps4 through the tv remote (maybe thats just a hdmi thing though)

Anyone run a ps4 and a sound bar?

Trying to work out the best combination for me.

Ps4 would be connected to the tv via hdmi.

Sound bar connected to the TV via optical or hdmi? Or would either work?

I want the same sound to come from the sound bar, whether it be just watching TV or using the ps4.

Isn't optical the way to go? That's how I have my 5.1 set up. And I can't imagine a 2.1 being any different.

Have the 5.1 receiver connected to the TV via optical, then whether I'm watching digital "TV", Foxtel through AV cables, PS4 on HDMI, or DVD through the receiver itself, it all comes out of the same speakers.

I got a Samsung sound bar... I use my PS4 on a PC monitor so I use the sound bar for sound. It has a HDMI pass through, I just go HDMI from the PS4 into the sound bar and HDMI out to my monitor. It has Multiple inputs on the sound bar so you could do an Optical in direct from tv and just set it to that.

If you purchase it today then presumably zero.

If you need to get on a waiting list I think they are dribbling in so you might be lucky in a few days or a week, but there is talk of stock shortages until April.

Looking on Whirlpool there are some people having luck finding one or two at local stores, whilst other areas are completely backlogged.

If you're in Adelaide I have a brand new one (5 days of use) that I'm about to sell (I have a second one from the US so no need for two).

Just walked in and bought one 2nite, pretty much every major electronics retailer at my local shopping centre had stock.

Is it just me or does the PS4 update downloads take forever???
    60min to download 336mb???

I'm on Telstra Ultimate and the PS4 is very fast using wifi. I'm very close to the exchange in my area though, i get 113mbps on speedtest.

Weird, I'm getting around 2mb/s downloading updates, they literally fly down. Also on Telstra Cable. Are you on wifi or ethernet?

    Nice :)

When I was in the US over Christmas I bought this. Brought my US PS4 back in it (carry on). It's amazing how small and light the PS4 is, quite nice to travel with.
