Ebay psp $320-350 (with $70au game included)
    Ebay postage $35 (with insurance)
    = $~370

wait four months to get $299 aus price with poor quality screen which looks horrible, add a $70 game and you have the same price!

im thinking of getting one of these just wondering if there is any advantage of going for the JAP one over the US one?

as far as prices go the cheaper the better for games and movies, but where are the cheapest movies found?

and has anyone bought one from DVDCRAVE? do they come with the australian power adaptor or do you have to buy that aswell?

THe japanese PSP apparently has SHarp LCDS, US - Samsung, Sharp being cleaer as per image on page 3.

I got my Jap PSP Value pack, $325 + $25 AU from japan off ebay. One black dead pixel near the bottom and 1 bright one 2 cm to the left of it, but its all good =]

Now just waiting for metal gear acid from the US i ordered for $51 inc post :)

edit: power adapters can b had from most Tandy's, Dicksmiths etc

Dvdcrave is apparently very fast with shipping, but prices r abit steep there, but i guess importing + postage would equate to almost the same

I got a Japanese version too, no dead pixels from what I can see.
The adapters have a world voltage so you can either get a plug converter or do what I did; purchase a whole new figure 8 plug. They only cost $12 at Dick Smith and are cheaper and more reliable than a plug converter.

I bought Ridge Racer from DVD Crave, got it the next day!

I got mine from my cousin when he came over from HK. Had 5 dead pixels :upset: Forgot to ask him to check. But yeah, it's not noticable unless its a completely black screen. Normal PSP menu you can't see them.

The Sharp vs Samsung comparo screenies just looks like the Samsung's image was taken poorly. From both, it looks like they have identical viewing angles.

To those with Ridge Racer, how are you guys going? I've unlocked the "Max" Tours but I'm finding it really hard - like almost impossible to come any place but last even on the first race (tour #41?)!

I've started to notice greater availability of aftermarket accessories for the Sony PSP in computer/gaming outlets here in HK. I'm still looking for the ideal screen protector, I've read of criticism of Lik-Sand's 'crystal' ones, and I'm more wanting to protect the side of the screens (where the button are) rather than just the screen itself, as I'm finding lots of fingerprints end up there after a gaming session.

I found out normal 3.5mm headphones will work fine with the PSP - you just lose the remote control capabilities of the official remote/earphone.

ive been doing the EX races (ex in japan release) its tough, but can be done...and it sucks going back to the slow cars again at the start.

I really got into those dueling races, those were fun...no traffic :)

Has anyone seen a clear skin for the PSP?
Like a thin one, there i the crystal one but that looks too thick and some people say it's level with the buttons so it makes buttons hard to press.

I need something to stop fingerprints and scratches getting onto it.
