I'd be suprised if anyone could. The value pack is $250US/$300CDN + cheapest game $39US/$49CDN. You'd be paying ~$370AU converted from US funds or ~$357AU converted from CDN funds. Add shipping and any duties from customs then you're ~$400.

It's most probably the JPN stand alone PSP + game.

    Yea,

So $420 for a Jap PSP Value Pack + RidgeRacer delivered is a good deal?

Thats the best i have found so far.

EDIT: Just opened my eyes and realised the deal above is not the value pack, but unit only :(

Yes there will be taxes, the maximum before customs tax has to be paid is $250AU, Lik-sang is a business.

    Thanks,

So is it actually cheaper then to buy from Liksang or to just get from DVDCrave once you add all the extra charges on top of importing.

    Hey

PSP launch here is official. 1/9/2004, but it's going to be $420 (value pack) + copy of Spiderman 2, like the US launch.

Not attractive at all imo for that price. I think those that are waiting for the Aus PSP might as well just import it now at a cheaper cost.

I always thought the Japanese PSP had the better screen - does it?

Are the different screens the only difference between the two?

Are the screens actually different quality?

Already been said, read the rest of the thread.

Take your own advice and read the rest of the thread yourself. it has been said that the jap model has the Sharp brand screen which is better.

There wasn't a conclusion though and no where has it been said that the screens are the only different thing.

but that could be dodgy photo taking/source + it doesn't say anything about other differences

(Totally unrelated) EDIT:Just checked America's ebay and it looks like the best place to buy a psp, you can get both American and Japanese psp's shipped for alot less.

Why are people buying them on Australia's ebay when they can save alot by using America's?

They are both one and the same cchris1, if you select the option to search 'Worldwide' rather than just 'In Australia'.

Why would you buy on ebay when you can order from Liksang.com for less money? I just ordered a value pack off liksang and the total shipped express 3 days was only AU$390

Hey just a update on the Brando Screen protector I purchased, well I purchased 2 as I accidentely scratched the first on with a staple. I just received the 2nd one all I can say is that its a very good investment in protecting the screen and the front face of the PSP.

Hmm i wonder how much duty/taxes customs will charge. I was charged about 90 bucks for importing my DS. Hope the PSP isn't much more. What did you guys have to pay?
