Just bricked my (phat) PSP after trying to upgrade it from 3.53M33-4 to 3.90 M33... sigh

Apparently IDkeys were corrputed (which I thought I fixed to get my GPS working) which then resulted in the unit now not booting at all after a shutdown.

The upgrade to 3.90 failed, and I am still on m33 3.52, just when I turn on only the power light comes on green and nothing else happens.

Wondering if anyone around the blackburn area has a pandora memstick and battery i could borrow for a few mins maybe today?

If you had custom firmware previous, I do not think you need Pandora to unbrick.

Just do it through the recovery menu (hold R while turning on your PSP), there is also a guide online.

I can't access the recovery menu. It's bricked, I would like to borrow someone's Pandora Kit for about 10 mins. Beer or money can be exchanged!

Thanks deva_da_man, I'm in Vic - i think the flights might be worth more than a new PSP! But thanks heaps for the offer...

I'm looking @ getting myself a PSP... if I was to do that, is there anyone here that has a Pandora Battery that could sling me one my way for a day or so, so I can get it running with custom firmware? Keen to get in on some SCUMM action!

Use mine as an MP3 player atm, a whopping 1gig capacity for a brick. Will be good when top gear starts again so i can watch that on the train though.

You can borrow my mem stick & battery to put 3.71m33 on there.
It will literally only take 5 minutes so you won't need it for a day or so. :)

I find You Tube the best place to find guides. THere's videos of people doing it step by step. Usually there's some text as week outlining the steps.
