Hi guys This is starting to do my head in. So - I have a Z5 and it just constantly cuts out from the wireless at home. This happens in 2 ways - 1. If I have in rest mode - it will usually revert back to 4G then reconnect to the wifi. This is despite having Wifi always on in standby settings. 2. It will be on the wifi but then just just stop sending/receiving data and I have to turn my wifi on and off again on my phone. This is all while using a laptop and a samsung phone next to it without any issues. What I have done: Factory reset Moved the modem away from some Sonos gear Changed the name of my repeater Turn off bluetooth Turn off wifi/bluetooth scanning Deleted all apps that I could delete I am starting to think something might be wrong with my phone? Any thoughts? Mike
This is a LONG standing issue with pretty much every Sony z model range. I've had a z1, 2 and 3, and they all suffered from this problem. There was no fix for it, and it eventually led me to jump ship to Samsung
yeah i recall seeing something on XDA where they were trying to get Sony to admit it was a design fault and get refunds. I can't remember if it was in the Z1/2/3 section though
