Headed down to near the lighthouse near my new surroundings.. been meaning to get down here for a look. While down here i met an interesting fella who happens to be a geologist for Rio Tinto.. he was also shooting. I got to talking to him about how i want to get an ND grad setup sometime.. and he happened to have one lol.. so he offered it to me to try out.. of course i accepted and yea first time trying one.. definitely not the last.. also used my circular polariser under the ND8. The rocks and foam the sea churns up here is quite cool to look at!.

Go easy fellas! :) hope you enjoy looking at them to some extent.

Wow, cool shots. Short exposure landscapes! Controversial!

One thing though, is your monitor calibrated? Mine is, but hasn't been done in a while but to me the greens look a little over the top?

Quite like the 5th one (first foam shot). I never would have thought to shoot sea foam like that, but it's come out quite well :)

Also like the 3rd last one

(edit, numbering the shots will make it easier for people to comment :p)

Cheers guys will number them now!.. Appreciate you guys giving them the once over :).

I use the spyder2express to calibrate my monitor.. and greens look fine on my 22" @ 1680 x 1050.. will recalibrate soon and re check them.. i know different monitors will look different picture wise.

    Bunbury! :)

I've got some similar shots. Except whenever I travel down there, the sky is bland and boring. :(

Wow! good to get some great feedback with these!. I have been wanting to try out some ND Cokin filter shooting and as luck has it, bumped into the guy who had one i could use! :).

After using the Cokin ND system I will be buying my own shortly!. Makes for a lot more interesting possibilities!.

Yes this area is just down from the Bunbury Lighthouse :). Looking forward to the skies becoming more interesting and some amazing sunsets!. Bring it on!

    Thanks again guys! :)

The light coming down through the clouds in rays as it was, was something to behold! almost like something bright was descending from the heavens!.

Composition of #4 is nice - I would consider working on the color tho - I might start with toning down the shadows in the sky and some dodge and burn to bring up the rocks.

    Good one.

    Also like 14.
